Write for Tooldossier
Tooldossier takes guest articles about what business software really costs. Submitting is free, and so is publishing. No fee is ever charged and no link is ever sold.
What fits
- How a team chose a tool, and what it ended up paying once seats, add-ons and renewals were counted.
- Billing traps: per-seat jumps, features locked to a higher tier, monthly versus annual, quote-only pricing.
- Budgeting a software stack for a small business, agency or startup.
- How to read a pricing page, and what it usually leaves out.
First-hand experience counts for more than polish. A short piece about a real bill beats a long one about software in general.
The rules
- Every price is sourced. Each figure is read off the vendor's own pricing page, with the date it was checked and a link to that page. Every number is checked again before anything is published.
- Original. Not published anywhere else, before or after.
- 800 to 1,500 words, plain language, no filler.
- No paid or affiliate links, and no link insertions in existing articles.
- One link to your own site in a short author line. Like every link on Tooldossier that is not a vendor citation, it is marked nofollow.
- No headshot, LinkedIn profile or list of past articles needed. The idea and the sources are what get judged.
How it works
- Send the idea with the form below: a working title and a short outline.
- If it fits, a reply asks for the draft, usually within a week.
- The draft is checked figure by figure against the vendor pages, edited for clarity if needed, and published with your name and author line.
