File No. 107
Rippling pricing, checked October 2026
Rippling sells payroll, HR, IT and finance software as separate products on top of a required core platform. It publishes no prices: every buyer gets a custom quote.
The short answer. Rippling pricing is not published. The pricing page is a quote form, not a price list. Its FAQ says most products are billed per employee per month, some carry a monthly fee, and every product is bought alongside the required Rippling Platform. No free plan is listed. Read off rippling.com/pricing on 2 Oct 2026.

What the free tier actually allows
- No free plan is listed on the pricing page.
- The quote itself is free: the form is headed "Request a free Rippling quote". That is a free price estimate, not free software.
- The page offers a demo ("Request a demo to see Rippling in action"). No free trial is mentioned on the pricing page.
What the pricing page does not say
- The cost cannot be worked out in advance: the page publishes no figure for any product, so the only route to a number is the quote form, which asks for a work email and phone number.
- Every product sits on top of the Rippling Platform, which the FAQ calls core and required, so buying only payroll still means paying for the platform as well.
- The FAQ says most products are billed per employee per month, but some may be charged at, or include, a monthly fee, so the bill is not purely per head.
- The quote form counts employees plus contractors together, so contractors count toward the company size the quote is based on.
Why there is no Rippling cost on the page
The Rippling pricing page carries no price list. The top of the page is a form headed "Request a free Rippling quote", and the page invites visitors to say which services they need in order to receive a custom quote. Further down it offers a demo. No product on the page shows a figure.
What the quote is based on
The form asks for five things beyond contact details, and these are the inputs the price depends on:
- Headcount, as employees plus contractors, in bands: 1-10, 11-50, 51-250, 251-1000 and 1001+.
- Headquarters country, from a list that defaults to the United States on a US connection.
- Company name, work email and phone number.
The services chosen also shape the quote, since each product is sold separately.
How Rippling pricing works
Two answers in the pricing page FAQ describe the billing model:
- Most products are billed per employee, per month. Some may be charged at, or include, a monthly fee.
- Each HR, finance and IT product (the FAQ names Payroll, Expenses, Benefits and Device Management) can be bought separately, alongside the core Rippling Platform, which is required.
In practice that means a quote is the platform plus each chosen product, multiplied mostly by headcount. Because none of those rates is published, no team total for 1, 5 or 20 people can be worked out from the vendor's own page, and this file does not estimate one.
Which products a quote can include
The page groups Rippling's products in four families:
- Payroll: Payroll, Contractors, Global Payroll, Employer of Record, Contractor of Record, Global Contractors.
- HCM: HRIS, HR Services, Recruiting, Headcount Planning, Performance, Surveys, Learning Management, Benefits Administration, PEO, Time and Attendance, Scheduling.
- IT: Identity and Access, Device Management, Inventory Management.
- Finance: Expense Management, Corporate Cards, Bill Pay, Travel.
A business comparing payroll tools that publish their prices can browse the payroll drawer. How every figure on this site is read and dated is set out on the method page.

Questions
- Is Rippling free?
- No. Rippling's pricing page lists no free plan. The quote is free to request, and the page offers a demo, but the software itself is paid and its price is not published.
- What is Rippling's price per user?
- Not published. The pricing page FAQ says most products are billed on a per employee, per month basis, but gives no figure. Some products may also be charged at, or include, a monthly fee.
- What Rippling plans are there?
- Rippling sells products rather than fixed tiers: payroll, HR (such as HRIS, benefits and time and attendance), IT (such as device management) and finance (such as expense management). Each is bought separately alongside the required Rippling Platform. None has a published price.
- Can Rippling payroll be bought on its own?
- Payroll can be bought as a separate product, but the FAQ says every product is purchased alongside the core, required Rippling Platform.
- How is a Rippling cost worked out?
- Through the quote form on the pricing page. It asks for company name, the number of employees plus contractors, headquarters country and contact details. The products chosen and headcount are the inputs the page names.
What this check confirmed
Read off https://www.rippling.com/pricing on 2 Oct 2026 from a US connection. No prices are published; the page is a quote form asking for work email, full name, company name, number of employees plus contractors (in bands from 1-10 to 1001+), headquarters country and phone number. Confirmed: the FAQ answers on billing per employee per month and on buying products separately alongside the required platform, both expanded and captured. Not confirmed: any figure for any product, whether a free trial exists, and the answers to the FAQ items on partner pricing and switching, which were not opened. A marketing pop-up covers part of the FAQ in the screenshot; the quote form is unobstructed.
Figures on this file were read off the vendor's own pricing page on the dates shown. Prices change without notice; check before buying.
