Which proposal and contract tools still have a free plan, October 2026
Five proposal, contract and e-signature tools are on file. Only one has a plan that is free for good. The rest offer a trial that ends, or no free option at all.

A trial is not a free plan
A trial ends; a free plan does not. HoneyBook, Dubsado and Proposify each offer a trial, and Proposify's pricing page carries a Sign Up Free button that starts the 14 day trial rather than a free tier. Any list that shows these tools as free is describing the trial.
Docusign's eSignature pricing page lists no free plan. What it does offer is a refund window: cancelling within 30 days carries no penalty, and that can be used once per customer.
What PandaDoc's free plan allows
PandaDoc's free plan is capped at 5 documents a month. It includes the editor, e-signature, real time tracking and notifications, 24/7 email and chat support, and limited API access. No card is needed and it does not expire.
The cap is the whole constraint. A sixth document in a month means Starter, at $19 per seat a month billed annually or $35 billed monthly.
The cheapest paid option, if free is not enough
- One person: Docusign Personal at $10 a month, billed annually upfront ($120 a year), with 5 envelopes a month.
- A small team: HoneyBook Starter at $29 a month includes no team members at all, so a second person means Essentials at $49 a month. Dubsado includes three additional users at no extra charge, with Starter at $335 a year.
